Lemons & Alkaline

Among fruits, lemons are often considered to have high alkaline levels. However, it’s important to note that when we talk about the pH level of a food it doesn’t necessarily reflect the actual alkalinity or acidity of the food inside our bodies. Our body regulates its own pH levels regardless of the pH level of the food we consume.

That being said, many people believe that alkaline diets can help maintain a healthy balance in the body, reduce inflammation, and support overall well-being. The alkaline diet emphasizes consuming alkaline-forming foods such as fruits, vegetables, and certain grains, while minimizing acid-forming foods like meat, dairy, and processed foods. However, scientific evidence supporting the specific health benefits of an alkaline diet is still limited. It’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian for personalized advice on nutrition and dietary choices.
